Documents are part of the record, not a detached folder
Operation and maintenance manuals, drawings, reports and supporting documents can be attached to a property and linked to the systems, assets or requirements they inform.
This makes it possible to understand why a requirement exists and which version of a source document supported it.
Preserve exact document-version provenance
When a document receives a new version, the earlier version is retained. A recorded requirement can preserve its relationship to the exact source version rather than silently changing when a newer PDF is uploaded.
Keep evidence with the operational event
Inspection and maintenance photographs are most meaningful when they remain attached to the record of the work that produced them. Private evidence storage and authorised retrieval help avoid public file exposure.
Make handover less dependent on memory
Connected documents and evidence give incoming owners, managers or contractors a clearer starting point. Stormwater Passport does not replace professional review, but it can reduce the effort required to reconstruct the available property history.
